How Safe Is Your Helmet?

We know. There's nothing like the wind in your hair while riding. Still though, using a helmet is perhaps the wisest decision a motorcyclist  can make.

Serious head injury is common among fatally injured motorcyclists, so helmet use is very important. According to an article in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety website, helmets are about 37 percent effective in preventing motorcycle deaths and about 67 percent effective in preventing brain injuries.

With this in mind, we though that it'd be a good reminder to make sure that the helmet you have or plan to buy fits properly and meets DOT standards. Please watch the video below...

Obviously, it's very important that your helmet fit just right and that it meets the highest of standards. They don't call it a "brain bucket" for nothing!
