Saturdays are typically very busy here at Central Florida PowerSports. Customers come in early for parts for their bike projects or repairs. Other customers have appointments to meet with our sales staff to purchase that new vehicle they've been dreaming about and saving for.
This past Saturday was an extra special day. One of our customers came in and accidentally left her wallet before leaving the store. She called back right away and had me look for her wallet, but no luck. The wallet was gone. I took her information in case anyone turned it in. Immediately, I told our parts team members about the lost wallet.
About an hour later, the customer returned, hoping that her wallet would have turned up, but again, no luck. The customer was hopeless, explaining that she had just returned from her father's out-of-state funeral and was, understandably, a little absent-minded from the trip.
Now, this is where it gets really good. Our team came together to help her. Apparently, her wallet wasn't just lost... but stolen. We were able to review the security cameras to identify the perpetrator and his vehicle. This information was very helpful to the officer who took the report. Our customer filed a report and was very happy that we took the extra steps and actually cared about her situation.
I am so proud of our team working together to help a customer in need.
