The 2027 KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION brings the biggest engine change in the lineup. It has a redrawn engine with an oval throttle body and oval intake ports, a top-feed injector and an all-new valve train, plus 15.5:1 compression and a 14,500 rpm rev limit, the same limit the MXGP and AMA SMX racers use. The engine also sits 2.3 mm higher in the frame for better mass centralization. Add the new frame, fully revised WP XACT suspension and slimmer ergonomics, and you get KTM's closest production link yet to its championship bikes.
What's new for 2027
- All-new frame: lighter, with new geometry, steering head and engine mounting points
- Lightest aluminum subframe KTM has built; wheelbase can be lengthened
- Fully revised WP XACT closed-cartridge spring fork and shock
- New CNC-machined WP PRO COMPONENTS triple clamps and WP start device
- Slimmer profile, more leg contact area, new seat and new footpeg surfaces
- Lighter, more robust gearbox with smoother shifts
- New ECU with faster sensor processing and updated ignition, fueling and gear-dependent mapping; improved Quickshifter
- New exhaust system, redesigned airbox and optimized cooling
- Brembo brakes with a new rear pad, Neken bars with two mounting positions, ODI lock-on grips, Excel rims with a new spoke layout, Selle Dalla Valle seat cover
- New, easier-to-reach hour meter, with maintenance guidelines marked on the bike
